ISO 14001: Community and Environmental Sustainability
Due to the nature of our company, caring for the environment is a very important issue for us; It is for this reason that we seek to minimize any negative impact that our business may cause, as well as to help improve the conditions of nature to protect it.
Today, organizations are increasingly aware of their environmental impact, and many want to manage and control their risks. By implementing an ISO 14001 environmental management system they are formalizing this process and gaining recognition for their actions; and we want to be part of this too.

The benefits of ISO 14001 for an organization can be significant and some of them are as follows:
• Increased demand for our services and products through a marketing advantage.
• Reducing business costs by reducing resource consumption and waste production.
• Improve our environmental performance, reduce our environmental impact and control our environmental risk.
• Achieve our environmental commitments and environmental policy requirements.

In order to be community and environmentally friendly, Sistemas Inteligentes de Monterrey is planning different strategies and activities for the future, such as the following:
1. This year, we are developing an environmental policy that reflects the organization’s commitments: as a company that produces software that identifies species it is necessary to have a commitment towards the environment.
2. For 2022, we are going to set up an environmental management system (EMS) that is implemented from upper management and assign a person responsible for the EMS's coordination.
3. We are going to create a training program for employees about ISO 14001 with the objective of reaching 100% of the employees trained by July 2023.
4. We have the objetive of mapping the process of the company and identifying all the operations that generate pollution or are in any way environmentantlly unfriendly before august 2022.
5. We are going to reduce at least a 50% of the pollution generated by our processes by January 2023.
6. Monitoring the energy output and change into an alternative energy by January 2023 so that at least the 50% of the electricity is obtained through a renewable energy.
7. In 2022 we will ensure a correct communication process of the EMS to all stakeholders and interested parties.
8. Get an environmental audit to review performance focusing on the % of waste that goes to the environment each month, the level of energy consumption by Kw each month and the level of employees that are adept on ISO 14001.
9. Reporting the organization’s impact to the society.
10. Look fo continuous improvement of the organization’s environmental performance.
11. Look for ISO 14001 certification by January 2023.
